Chandra is an expert in data center architecture and highly scalable network solutions and a proven business leader with more than twenty years of experience developing and marketing innovative technology solutions. Before founding Seceon in 2014, Chandra was General Manager and Vice President of Platform Solutions at BTI Systems. While at BTI, Chandra led a global team through the creation, development and launch of the Intelligent Secure Cloud Connect platform to more than 20 Web 2.0-focused customer deployments in less than 18 months. Prior to his role at BTI, Chandra held numerous senior leadership roles at Juniper Networks, Internet Photonics (now Ciena), Lucent and 3Com (now HP). At Juniper, Chandra led the worldwide Solutions Architecture and Engineering teams and held responsibility for delivering integrated security solutions for Juniper’s enterprise, service provider, managed service organization and major OEM partners, driving billions of dollars in revenue for the company. Chandra is an inspirational leader, empowering his team to take on the complex, continually evolving cyber security challenges facing business leaders today, creating a new market category in the process. As Seceon’s CEO he works closely with customers to define and address the problems, implications, consequences and solutions of defending corporate assets in today’s highly-connected enterprise. Chandra holds multiple patents in application virtualization, highly scalable data center architecture, scalable multicast distribution and power optimization for high performance computers.
Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer
Gary is an industry leader with more than 25 years of strategic business and security product planning. Gary has continuously worked on the forefront of delivering new product concepts and industrial innovations and is responsible for driving Seceon’s pending patents in regards to advances in threat modeling with applied behavioral analytics. Gary’s vision took acquired technologies from NetScreen security, and created solutions requirements and led the team on execution to drive significant revenue growth for security product line by making its part of partners’ multi-media and SP mobility solutions. Gary served as CTO at BTI systems and was responsible for defining new technologies and pioneering big data concepts for intelligent secured content delivery architecture. As an original founder of the Metro Ethernet Forum Gary wrote the original contributions that defined the requirements for Carrier Ethernet services. Gary defined the product requirements behind the Ciena Flex Select Architecture, which has contributed over $1Billion dollars for Ciena. At Juniper, Gary was GM for the solutions architecture team. Gary works closely with customers, partners and internal team on behavioral models for users and systems in content of applications and workflow.

Lalit currently leads the strategic sales partnerships and business development for Seceon. He is an Industry Leader with over 24 years of expertise in Strategy, Product Management. Product Development and Business Development. He has a great track record of identifying market opportunities, developing breakthrough products and driving market share from product introduction to significant revenue. Before joining Seceon, Lalit was in leadership position with Juniper Networks in Strategy Planning, Product Management and Product Development roles. His technology expertise includes Network Security, Automation, Control and Data plane APIs, Network Orchestration and Controllers, SDN/NFV, Broadband and Business Edge Services, Routing, Switching and Security Products and Technologies. At Juniper, Lalit got the BNG router introduced into major Tier1 SPs in Europe, Americas and APAC region, developed product strategy with customer focus and won several multi-million $ deals. As an Engineering Mgr, he also managed and developed the BNG team globally from scratch. Prior to Juniper, Lalit has worked with Cadence Design Systems and Texas Instruments as Lead architect in developing industry recognized award winning products. He received his MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. He also has MS in Computer Science from IISc, Bangalore and BS in Electronics and Telecommunications from VJTI, Mumbai.

Ishita has over 25 years of experience as an R&D and Operations Leader in Telecom and Networking Infrastructure, Operations and IT. With deep technology and business knowledge, she has architected solutions across various platforms and standards including Mobile and IP Telephony, Intelligent Networks, Embedded Systems and Network Switches. Ishita has led innovation and new product development by partnering with business functions, vendors and customers, leading to successful business results. As part of her organizational leadership, she has led Enterprise IT Operations support teams and Program Managed large customer engagements. Reporting to the CIO of Reliance Communications , Ishita contributed to Strategy formulation and alignment of IT to Businesses. She was recognized within the organization for leadership, delivery, execution, innovation and client relationships. Ishita has actively advised multiple companies on CRM, IT Services, Mobile and Cloud solutions and brings with her a rich and valuable experience of Standardization, Innovation, Architecture, and Customer and Vendor management of products and solutions.
Naveen is an engineering leader and architect with over 20 years of technological and managerial experience. His broad range of technology experience spans networking, security and algorithms. He is responsible for delivering highly successful platform for high availability with deep feature engineering and dynamic algorithm engine to detect and correct threats in Real-Time. Prior to Seceon Networks, Naveen held various solution and engineering leadership positions at BTI Systems and was the catalyst in bringing the 7800-product line to market in record time. The product is installed at top 20 Tier-1 content providers. Prior to BTI Systems, he served as a principal solution architect at Juniper Networks for Data Center/Cloud Security solutions. Naveen played a key role with OEM partners such as IBM and DELL, and defined broad range of solutions using Juniper SRX (firewalls), Virtual Security Gateway, MX Routers & EX series switches. His previous experience includes starting the Bay Networks India Center in Delhi and quickly growing the center to 100 employees with complete responsibility of RAC product line development and release. Naveen holds B.Tech from IIT in Electrical Engineering and MBA from Babson College with Honors.
Sunil K. Kotagiri
Sunil leads the architecture, development and delivery of Seceon Big Fast Data Security Platform. Sunil brings technical leadership with over two decades of experience in software development and methodologies, architecting and delivering complex Big Data Analytics (Time series & Real-time), Business Intelligence, highly-scalable distributed Web and Mobile Apps for Enterprise, Mobile, Telecom, and Cable markets . Prior to Seceon, he was a member of Executive team and Vice President of Software Engineering at IneoQuest where he oversaw the development and roll out of industry’s first Big-Data Video Analytics product processing millions of video stream data collected from thousands of Video Monitoring probes. At IneoQuest Sunil also led the industry’s first end-to-end video service assurance, real-time analytics and provisioning software solutions that were deployed at 12 of the top-15 global service providers. Before IneoQuest, Sunil was the Director of Engineering at PhyFlex Networks where he led the successful roll out of software platforms for Network Management, Security, Service Management and Orchestration. Sunil also held engineering leadership positions at Cascade Communications, Ascend Communications, Lucent and Hewlett Packard. Sunil is lifelong technologist, architect and hands-on executive and handles every role in software engineering lifecycle in Technology Company at some point. He is the author of multiple patents for the Service Definition and Orchestration platforms and holds BS in Electronics and Communications and MS in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai.
Smit leads Seceon’s Data Science and Machine learning team in creation of state of the art Behavior Anomaly Detection solution. Before joining Seceon, as an executive member of the Tradepoint Systems which was later acquired by Kewill Systems, Smit leveraged data analytics to transform the legacy supply chain products to modern, competitive and cost effective SaaS platform based solutions in the cloud. This transformation allowed Kewill to shorten the revenue recognition cycles while increasing sales. Prior to that, Smit was the director of development at Upspring Software, which was acquired by MKS. Smit brings deep experience in software engineering, data sciences and has built complex enterprise applications at fortune 500 companies such as Schlumberger and PTC/Computervision. Smit holds a B.S from JVTI, Mumbai, an MS in Computer Science from Indian Statistical Institute and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
Peter is an experienced sales and marketing professional operating in the security space, where he has spent over 25 years managing International & Global Sales.
He has played a major part in the success and growth of 8 Software start-ups, where he has managed cross-functional roles, including, Sales, Support, PR and marketing. Most of the start-ups were acquired by the likes of Borland, Microsoft, Trustwave and McAfee, where he spent six months managing EMEA, SIEM Sales, as part of the transition.
Eric leads Seceon’s UI/UX team in the creation of modern interfaces and tools for user consumption. His responsibility at Seceon is to deliver rich experiences for users managing Big Data Analytics using Seceon’s Open Threat Management platform. Eric’s experience in software development spans more than three decades and he has created solutions for Fortune 500 companies, small to medium sized companies, international groups and, in 2005, he started his own cloud-based SAAS business, which he sold in 2010. Eric’s solutions have transformed industries and inspired countless others to follow. Eric’s background was derived from a formal Art education and an intense interest in software development, combining to form his unique talent for delivering software usability.
Team Leader - Machine Learning & Algorithms
Seceon has added technology innovator Sunil Kulkarni to its product engineering team. Developing some of the most widely used machine learning and intelligent search algorithms in last in last 11 years at Google and Sony, he will lead Seceon’s collaborative development efforts.
Paul is CMO North America for Amdocs, serving as head of marketing for the region working with communications and media companies delivering new services and driving digital transformations. Prior to Amdocs he led worldwide Sales & Marketing for SeaChange, a video solutions provider, executing a significant corporate turnaround. He has a proven track record developing, introducing and scaling new technologies (Wireless, IP, Video and Cloud Solutions), including large-scale deployments with leading operators worldwide (Web, Wireless, MSOs and Telcos). His earlier career focused on product execution and business development including senior roles with Ascend Communications, AT&T, Avici Systems, BigBand Networks, BTI Systems and Omnipoint Communications. He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSE from Villanova University, in addition to serving as U.S. Navy submarine officer.
Dr. Nabil Bitar
Dr. Nabil Bitar holds BS, MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Boston University, USA. He is the CTO for the Large Enterprise Segment at Nokia & Nuage Networks covering cloud networking, SDN, security, IoT, IP, optical networking, analytics & applications. Prior to joining Nokia in November 2015, Dr. Bitar was a Fellow and Director of Services and Network Architecture at Verizon. As a Director, he led the architecture for IoT, SDN, network and services orchestration, cloud-based services, and the evolution of IP and Broadband networks and services, and was the inventor for optimized Short Data Services over NAS for NB IoT applications. Prior to that, as a Verizon Fellow, Dr. Bitar led the end-to-end IP/MPLS services and network architecture encompassing cloud network services virtualization and connectivity, SDN, next generation broadband IPv4/v6 services and subscriber management, routing and signaling, VPN services, packet aggregation, and services routing. He also led or co-led various projects/initiatives that spanned Ethernet services, converged packet/TDM/Optical transport, co-pioneering packet-optical transport, MPLS traffic engineering, IPTV, IP video transport, CDN, LTE wireless-wireline convergence, and consumer data centers. Dr. Nabil has been driving force behind many industry first, highly scalable networks and services scaling to 100’s of millions of users.
Dr. Bitar is a regular contributor at the IETF, Broadband Forum, and has been a frequent presenter and panelist at the MPLS conference, and OFC/NOFC among other industry fora. He is currently a co-chair of the ONUG Monitoring & Analytics Working Group, served as a member of the N2 committee at OFC, and as a member of the IETF routing directorate. He also served as a co-chair of the L2VPN working group at IETF, and contributed to the development of EVPN. He (co-) authored several technical referred and invited IEEE papers, IETF RFCs and drafts. He holds several patents on LTE packet core evolution, traffic management, routing, signaling, and policy control, and has several additional patents filed on cloud network services orchestration, LTE packet core evolution for IoT, IoT device software architecture, and IoT services.
Dr. Randy Paffenroth
Dr. Paffenroth is an Associate Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a joint appointment in the Mathematical Sciences Department and Data Science Program. He graduated from Boston University with degrees in both mathematics and computer science and he was awarded his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Maryland in June of 1999. After attaining his Ph.D., Dr. Paffenroth spent seven years as a Staff Scientist in Applied and Computational Mathematics at the California Institute of Technology and from 2006-2014, he held the position of Computational Scientist and Program Director at Numerica Corporation. Dr. Paffenroth also holds a faculty affiliate position in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Colorado State University and has held a visiting Scholar position in Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering at University of Colorado, Boulder. His technical interests include machine learning, signal processing, large scale data analytics, compressed sensing, and the interaction between mathematics, computer science and software engineering, with a focus on applications in cyber-defense and network analysis.
Dr. Prasant Mohapatra
Dr. Prasant Mohapatra is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science currently serving as the Associate Chancellor of the University of California, Davis. He served as Department Chair of Computer Science during 2007-13, and held the Tim Bucher Family Endowed Chair Professorship during that period. He served as the Interim Vice-Provost and the Campus CIO of UC Davis during 2013-14. In the past, he has been on the faculty at Iowa State University and Michigan State University. He has also held Visiting Scientist positions at Intel Corporation, Panasonic Technologies, Institute of InfoComm Research (I2R), Singapore, and National ICT Australia (NICTA). He has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Padova, Italy and Yonsei University, and KAIST, South Korea. Dr. Mohapatra is the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing. He has served on the editorial boards of the IEEE Transactions on Computers, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, ACM WINET, and Ad Hoc Networks. Dr. Mohapatra received an Outstanding Research Faculty Award from the College of Engineering at the University of California, Davis. He received the HP Labs Innovation awards in 2011, 2012, and 2013. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and a Fellow of AAAS. Dr. Mohapatra’s research interests are in the areas of wireless networks, mobile communications, cyber security, and Internet protocols. He has published more than 300 papers in reputed conferences and journals on these topics. Dr. Mohapatra’s research in cyber security is focused on applying the behavioral science to counter Advanced Persistent Threat attacks. He is keenly interested in attackers’ reaction to the security methods of threat prevention and proliferation. Dr. Mohapatra’s expertise in the cyber security and strong understanding of a need to continually evolve counter-attack methods will be instrumental in helping guide Seceon’s solution development.
Dr. Ray Mota
Dr. Ray Mota is the CEO and Principal Analyst of ACG Research. He brings a talent for complex technical and critical thinking, and provides strategic direction, sharp analysis, and expert advice on networking issues, specializing in design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Prior to founding ACG Research Dr. Mota worked for Aberdeen Group, ManageAll, Micros-To-Mainframes, Advanced Technology Group, Eastman Kodak and the IRS. As a CTO, he designed, implemented and supported complex trading floor systems along with large WAN Frame Relay and ATM networks. He also provided training on Sniffer, HP Advisor protocol analysis tools, and MPLS architectures. Ray has also developed cloud applications and has a software patent attributed to him. Routinely called upon to speak as a guest lecturer throughout the country, Ray is recognized as an expert in topics relating to networks, managed services, cloud computing, operational efficiency, and business modeling. He has been the keynote speaker for the top cloud, channel, Wall Street, and telecom events around the world.

Vijay Gill is a Senior Vice President of Engineering at Salesforce and leads the transformation to the industry leading cloud platform data pipelines, telemetry, analytics, diagnostics and visibility. At Microsoft, he held the GM role and directed the Global Network Services (GNS) teams for Microsoft Azure that supports the foundation infrastructure of Microsoft online services for consumers and businesses worldwide. His leadership in creating one of the biggest Data Center and Cloud services offerings is well known in industry. Prior to joining Microsoft, Vijay was the leader of the Backbone engineering, Architecture, Network Security and Network Labs at Google, and his team was accountable for the network architecture encompassing the dark fiber network, optical, MPLS and edge networks, as well as the data center network design. Vijay also spent five years at AOL, where he managed the network, peering and CDN teams for the ATDN network, a global backbone for AOL and Time Warner Cable. Prior to AOL, Vijay was the networking manager at AboveNet, responsible for global network design and architecture. Before AboveNet, Vijay was a lead engineer at Verizon/UUNET, where he led the multicast and MPLS projects. Vijay holds multiple U.S. patents and has published several technical papers in various journals and conference proceedings, including seven IETF RFCs on topics such as routing, security, multi-homing, MPLS and IPv6. He is frequently quoted in the press and is a featured speaker on network trends in the industry. In 2007 and 2010, he was the recipient of the Google OC and EMG awards for exceptional work for his contributions to the CDN and bandwidth projects.
