Seceon, the only threat detection and management company to visualize, detect, and eliminate cyber threats in real-time, today announced that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Lalit Shinde, Head of Partnerships and Business Development, to its prestigious list of 2018 Channel Chiefs. The executives on this annual list represent top leaders in the IT channel who excel at driving growth and revenue in their organization through channel partners.

Channel Chief honorees are selected by CRN’s editorial staff on the basis of their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community, and strategies for driving future growth and innovation. Each of the 2018 Channel Chiefs has demonstrated loyalty and ongoing support for the IT channel by consistently promoting, defending and executing outstanding channel partner programs.

Shinde has been instrumental in establishing Seceon’s partner program from the ground up since he joined Seceon in 2016, developing all program resources, including planning, staffing, training and marketing. Shinde led the development of Seceon’s training program, earning high marks for completeness and ease of use from partners, as well as a new partner portal for onboarding and continued support. He also played an integral role in the establishment of a strategic distribution agreement with Information Development (ID), Japan’s leading systems integration and IT outsourcing company, to serve Japan’s growing security business market sector, providing regional integration, validation, localization and market reach capabilities. Partnering with ID opened access to the world’s second largest economy, and also resulted in corporate investment from ID in Seceon. Recognizing a new market opportunity, Shinde also led Seceon to create an MSSP-focused channel initiative in early 2017, which enabled Seceon to reach and build product opportunities with an underserved SMB market. This framework allowed Seceon to help MSSPs create and deliver value-added services, and address customer pain points.

“The executives on CRN’s 2018 Channel Chiefs list stand out for their exceptional leadership, vision and commitment to the channel,” said Robert Faletra, Executive Chairman of The Channel Company. “These individuals deserve special recognition for their development and support of robust partner programs, innovative business strategy and significant contribution to the overall health of a vigorously growing channel. We applaud each Channel Chief’s impressive record of accomplishments and look forward to their future successes.”

“Lalit is an exceptional human being who upholds the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in business. He is committed to delivering an exceptional experience for our partners and bringing value to our mutual customers day in and day out,” said Chandra Pandey, Seceon founder and CEO. “Thanks to Lalit’s leadership Seceon has expanded into new regions and market sectors, including our relationship with ID in Japan, which has led to additional global expansion in EMEA and ASEAN regions, as well as advances in the US MSSP market, accessing opportunities to enable new service delivery models for managed service providers, specifically for the 3+ million U.S. SMB market that lack the resources to properly manage critical infrastructure.”
